Can you live with the shame?

Most people walk around with shame. Some of us, most of us, don't even realize it. Shame manifests itself in many ways. The perfectionist, the over eater, the angry person, the control freak, the hoarder, the people pleaser etc.  Shame keeps us stuck. It paralyzes us. It keeps us from our dreams. It keeps us living in fear. I think the hardest part of carrying shame is finally admitting and looking at it and facing it head on. But I promise you once you name your shame your life will change! When you identify your shame you are well on your way to releasing it and moving on. Here are some questions you can ask yourself to see if shame lurks in you:
1. Are you embarrassed of your appearance?
2. Are you hiding the truth about your finances?
3. Are you a closet eater?
4. Are you embarrassed by your spouse or a family member?
5. Do you avoid social gatherings? or try to avoid them?
Write it all down. Own it. Understand it. Do not judge yourself. Then let it go, it not longer serves you on your journey............
